Rok's love is integrated in being order around, and being told what to do. He 'almost' can't think of his own as if he can't exist on his own and needed to be told what to do, needed to useful in anyway. It happened both with his teacher and jeho, he's constantly looking around to be useful to them, to prove his worth.
His name 'rok' or whatever his original name in Korean be could be deliberately given to him because it sounds like 'Rook' from chess who only exists to protect the King which at first it was his teacher and now jeho. It's funny that how a strong character like him can't survive on his own, ( idk maybe he can ) but it's clear that they both got out of everything because of jeho's smartass.
