I love the idea of maxi gaining independence by becoming an official mage and having the ability of protecting herself and others. But riftan really needs to get his head in the game because maxi is her own person who can make her own choices but hes just getting vexed cuz she did smth on her own accord rsther than consulting him first, which in this circumstance was the right decision cuz he was in the verge of losing his knighthood and even going into war. Maxi NEEDSSS to stand up for herself even more than she already has maybe she should beat some sense into riftan i dont give a shit we need some crazy character development here
