how I see it ( I don't remember much of season 1 though)

I think nanjo had some conflicting feelings regarding the fact he already has feelings for mok but also guilty of betraying that twink so he forced himself to be mad at mok and ignore him for a while only to forced to face mok again, he's very glad that mok kept chasing him.
