Maybe because of the rule that they need to protect him. Also, if he died then all of them will just go back to where their souls(?) stays.
Yea i did think thats maybe the case but if they just wanted to protect him bc of that they would probably be more colder from beginning. Plus that place can't be that bad for them to treat him likr a god.
Like i understand if they are reliving their personal hell over and over again before he summons them and if thats true..thats horrible but still would you just be ok with someone seeing the worst part of your past??
i wouldn't call it good as well. The purgatory was described as if they float with consciousness alone. Almost like a human with no senses but their voices and hearing alone. By theory, they feel an absolute loyalty to him because Jaehyun is the only way they can enjoy being human again and a lot of them do want to live more but their lives were cut short because of their eccentric choices (i.e., Kosack going for a kill for his love to kill, Dalrae (the princess) ending her life for revenge, and Gobang died because he was fooled into being a human shield). Canonically, it wasn't mentioned I think why these summons are really loyal to summoners, I stopped reading the novel in like 170 chapters I think.
I really like this but I really don't understand why they are so devoted to him? Was it explain and did I just flew over it or will it be explained later bc i don't understand why a assassin would be so devoted ro someone or any other of them like mad dog or mad dog no.2?
Like im not complaining I don't mind this wholesomeness but I have trust issues even tho I know they probably won't betray him so in back of my mind im waiting for some kind of clue or something. Its more of me problem ig
