I think Nanjo was less attracted to the twink in general and more the helplessness of him, and the fact he relied/needed him; so the fact that Mokyeon is acting like this is sort of attractive for him and he’s slowly realizing he rlly is pathetic like this (after being dominant most of the time) and it’s flipping his switch.
