I started reading a few chapters several years ago but eventually dropped it because I got distracted by other stories, and it was still ongoing at the time. Then recently, I was craving a great or at least really good story to read, and I suddenly remembered this one.
The art almost kept me away at first, but then I remembered that I’ve read stories with not so great art before that ended up having amazing plots, so I decided to push through. And honestly, it kinda grew on me! The art also improved somehow in the latter parts.
The plot itself wasn’t that unique, but the development, pacing, and especially the COMMUNICATION between the leads were what made this manhwa so great. Heads up though, there’s one plot device that I thought the author dragged out for too long, but hey, it was all well planned out in the end!
The FL was beautiful, capable, wise, understanding, cool, and communicative. She’s really the ideal FL everyone hopes for. The ML was similar in many ways, but because of his backstory, he wasn’t very good at communicating or connecting with other people. Having the FL by his side brought out such great character development in him. You’ll cry when you finally see him smile!!!
There were also a lot of side characters, and I loved that the story actually gave them their own moments and put some spotlight on their lives. It made everything feel so much more alive. Their world genuinely felt alive instead of existing only for the ML and FL.
Another plus point for me was how the story included same sex couples so naturally. It never felt like the author was trying too hard to bring them into the story. They were simply part of the world and the characters around the leads, which I really liked.
In the end, I really enjoyed reading this. I’m actually glad I came back to it after all these years because it was so worth it. I will surely reread this again in the future.
