first sex scene is dubcon; mc is under an aphrodisiac (unintentional on both sides) and seems reluctant, while ML takes advantage of the opportunity.
second sex scene, mc doesn’t initiate it and doesn’t give explicit consent; he enjoys it but is also frustrated by the ml the whole time.
not violent, uses lube, both aroused. tbh neither instances are depicted darkly—more like ‘too prideful to enthusiastically fuck his assassination target / the guy that keeps messing with him.’ that’s it i think!
this far, i'm not impressed by how we only know the mc's "professional" status nominally. i could get behind a cool-guy hitman getting all flustered, but only if we'd actually seen his skill and composure established beforehand so there's something to contrast it against. instead, we get that grounding for only maybe the first few chapters.
i understand he's undercover and limited by his circumstance, but Jakyung just internally reacting to everything around him for 90% of the runtime is disappointing. his personality reads as rebellious, yet the direction keeps forcing him into a passive role. it doesn't make for a satisfying read.
ml is a generic chaebol red flag personality (note: not violent against MC). gets his hands bloody, intimidates petty villains; never faces any real threat, never makes concessions; appears to have the upper hand in every situation. but it is nice that he’s unabashed and approachable ^_^
still early, so i don’t doubt its transformative potential. just not willing to drag through repetitive interactions and insignificant antagonists.
