I like how it shows the seme is not taking uke's forgiveness for granted with this line. Because many will behave like as though they deserve to be forgiven after going through hell for their partners. But Jaemin was like "You forgiving me doesn't change the fact that I was still an asshole to you, that's entirely on you." In a way, it shows his deep reflection on his action while still keeping his rational personality in tact. That's a really nice touch by the author.
The problem with such personality and mindset is that, if they do not love the person more than they love themselves, they're very likely to repeat their red flags and be an asshole to their partner again after getting tired of 'making an effort to not be an asshole'. So it's a good thing that Jaemin, while being an unstable fak, still holds Taeyoon to a very high degree and it's not just all empty words, seeing how this sex addict can abstain so long from having smex in fear of hurting their partner with their selfish desires.
Jaemin's personality type is really intriguing, it's rare to see a character designed to be so out of touch and ignorant with their own feelings while still being rational and irrational at each extreme end; it does live up to the psychological aspects of this manhwa.
