I don't remember anymore how traumatic or brutal might be the top went through after what the bottom did to him in a drunken state and didn't remember it after but I guess as the story goes deeper the more darker and controlling he becomes. Yes, I get it he's doing all this as revenge for what happened to him in the past but I feel like this is getting over the top or like it's too much. And what's more annoying later would be that they'll justify it as "love". Like hello, who on earth would fall in love in this situation?
