Slow burn stories are ultimately pain and suffering that I willingly put myself through as an impatient reader, but there's something special about this one. The updates aren't even that eventful most of the time, it's like we get a short glimpse into their days like a slice-of-life, with the added complexity of the existence of vampires and their age difference and how they're each respectively processing and approaching them. So I've somehow gotten used to this pace and even the simplest scenes carry weight. I'm fully engrossed in what they might be thinking, what choices they will make and where that will take them.
All this to say, I really appreciate the way this author writes and I hope they keep up these qualities while the story goes on! I also have high expectations for when they do get together LOL
