I get their prob going for the "she's a saint she serve people" and "helping the ones that trash you is virtuous" but, with this circumstances and party involved the message that comes across to me is:
Do the job of the incomplete instead helping them improve and learnt to their job.
The church is incompetent. Her going back is just gonna further continue their stupidity.
They have several saint candidates. They r aware one can't handle the seal alone yet they force an mediocre saint to pray alone. Instead of preparing the new candidates for what is expected of them it seems like FOR YEARS they actually made Serbia(mc) the only one doing the praying and interacting with dark demon seal. Meanwhile the other saints have never pray OR worked on the seal.
They then dump Serbia because of one greedy candidate and her smitten prince's plot. Instead of making Serbia rethink it or convince the Prince of not appointing a candidate saint with no experience for an actual saint job without Serbia, they instead dump the job on the unprepared one. They also let Serbia go based on a assumption.
Even if they did so because they were ordered by a ruling member of the country, it's very stupid of them to dumb the job on a newbie knowing full well the country is doomed without Serbia.
They also dump all the job on the greedy candidate who's incapable of doing the praying alone. Heck they could have the other saint-to be help the girl out. Y'know many is better than few... But they don't.
Considering they're defending the country by keeping the seal, 1) them firing the actual and only person doing the job, 2) not training the other candidates properly because they have Serbia for years 3) then they go along with the Prince's plans to have one unprepared mediocre saint take the job of an overpowered saint,... I'm sorry but they're incompetent.
Their assumptions is the seal weakening is built on sand too. For years they made Serbia do the job and assumed that now that the seal seems fine and controlled, she was no longer needed and thus assume an incompetent saints can take over the job of op saint??? .... First.... 1) what made them thinking this way when they also mentioned they're aware Serbia and the other saints aren't comparable? Like wtf it's like they made a theory and thought it would work without testing. = technically endangering the country.
It's like a company firing the one employee that keeping the company afloat and was in charge of all the programs that no one knows how to use. Then take they anger on the remaining employees and overwork them.
I'll be frank. Serbia going back is just gonna further make the church rely on her and dump on her the job the same they have done for years. The church should do a 360 and start training the saints to be instead of making one person work.
