I think bout how he (ML) was a helpless romantic until he met the whore groomer, but he surrounded himself by assholes and when he finally meets someone that’s dancing to his tune - he’s so far gone in his assholery it’s too late to revert back. All he can do is change once again, but poor MC - the ML’s actions come and bite his innocent ass.
It’s hard to really even feel bad for either of them because the ML got what was coming to him considering the type of people he surrounded himself with - even if he didn’t actively participate (which was insunated he did) he was still a bystander who watched them fuck over others. And the MC is just…. He’s just so naively stupid. The “I can fix him” type.
