Tbh I don't usually like this genre because I feel like either the mc's actions don't make sense or the male lead does absolutely nothing worth staying for. This is one of the few out of the trope that I enjoyed greatly.
I appreciate how it's truly a slow descent for mc. Like of course in his god awful circumstances, this man who treats him so much better than everyone else he knows (if he follows the "rules") becomes something he clings too. It's kind of abuse tactics 101, there's a reasons why victims often have a hard time leaving and that reason is that when it's good, it's very good. It becomes easy to ignore the absolutely horrible things this psycho does the rest of the time
Anyways, if you want a kind of similar ending I recommend the story "A smile from the villain". It's a chinese transmigration one that kinda ends similarly especially in the epilogues/extras. Just large trigger warning, that one is much heavier on non-con elements. No it's honestly beyond that, read through tags and reviews if you want to read that
