Why is everyone acting scandalized about the age gap when: 1) this is a historical manga, the fact that there's a timeskip where she's 18 and she doesn't end up marrying a man twice her age in a loveless marriage is a positive. It's already rare that historical yuri mangas have a happy ending where the heroines stay with each other. 2) there are worse tropes in other genres like BL and HL that no one bats an eye at like rape, shotacon/lolicon, violence.etc but the moment something taboo happens in yuri its too much?? 3) it's fictional. If you can't differentiate between the two and let it affect your reality that's your problem lmao. Don't like don't read.
