I get liking another pair of your characters and wanting to put them in a story but it’s so easy to just make it a separate story OR at the very end as a side story

Can I be honest with y'all I truly hate side couples. There's a couple manhwas in which I've enjoyed the side couple but there's honestly never really been in a time in which I preferred the side couple over the main
I also really hate it when we're at like chapter 20 and first couple hasn't made any progress and then they introduce the side couple and now I have to care about that. Because there are also plot relevant things in the side couple's arc. But I don't care about the side couple I JUST WANT TO KNOW THE PLOT
