I thought it was likely basically just a 1:1 copy of leprosy or the bubonic plague, but is the artist/author implying it's coming from the fucking plants they use? Or is Sunwon just seeing "oh those vines basically kill people because they destroy medicinal plants?"
This part of the story is driving me nuts. We know it's a very potent disease that almost all die from, but we know some are immune or grow immune, so surely it's something that they basically have to vaccinate against?
