Tbf Dante is highly traumatised from being tortured when he was a kid for a long time. Sure, he may be old as fuck but he most likely has CPTSD and I say this as someone who does have CPTSD. It's PTSD's meaner, nastier older sibling in that you get it from being repeatedly exposed to traumatic events over a relatively short time for humans (like a few months to a decade) and it can really fuck up your development/maturity. I'm pretty sure most world war soldiers had CPTSD but we didn't understand trauma back then like we do today. To me, it makes a lot of sense that Dante acts like a child at times, he never got to finish his childhood properly because he was stuck in a church being tortured from when he was a kid to who knows how old (i dont remember if its stated how old he was when he escaped the church)
how boring. this story bad so much potential but dante does not act like someone with the maturity of whats implied to be hundreds of years of life. how is he so naive and weak? if he doesnt try to kill himself with the fork itll be my last straw with this dumb ass story. the writing is so boring and predictable
