It’s implied he’s an omega who’s marked by an alpha but somehow isn’t able to get pheromones from that alpha to stabilize him.
So his body and mind is slowly self destructing which makes him look that way and act so…weirdly.

But from the first chapter I think there’s also some kind of test subject or human lab rats plot going on so that could be a reason too? Idk. It’s interesting anyway~
