Sometimes playing things down like this is a way of the ppl around you to tell you 'it ain't THAT bad, so try to get over it fast okay? We don't like to see you down.'. Yk in a way to comfort you like they tell toddlers when they fall on the ground that it doesn't hurt so they don't cry. You get my point? Maybe your family is kinda bad at expressing emotions and care or empathy but deep down they just want you to find your way through the issues by telling you 'we all suffer, stfu' in a way of 'this won't bring you down, you're stronger than this' idk!
Anyways, don't take it to heart. Words often hurt. It's important to overlook them sometimes because they don't express what ppl really mean. Stay strong, focus on the good things in your life rn and outfocus the bad. Because, we, most of all times, make bad things appear bigger than the good ones. Cheer up (>_<)/~~

Imagine crying, venting to your family about this one problem you consider like... Super dupper big happened in your life not even like 30 minutes ago and then instead of comfort, you receive criticism instead like "well damn, it's not that big of a deal" And "damn, THIS is what you learned in school??? Just complaining and complaining about shit???" And "What happened to you??!?? You're so freaking emotionally unstable" And "grow the fuck up, can't you learn to regulate your emotions????"
