i think ml gave those pills to make him an omega.

their relationship might be true or not, based from chapter 6, they don't live with each other but they're close enough to be intimate. they could've been fuck buddies or friends with benefits that turned into lovers and perhaps husbands.

this might be a stretch but, ml had feelings for mc way long before they had a proper relationship. when ml finally had a mutual relationship with mc, they might've became as lovers at some point or something happened before they became official.

mc and ml most likely have thought that their relationship as alpha x beta won't work out or maybe the thought of having a bond as an alpha x omega and the probability of them having a child was better. mc probably took "supplements/vitamins" or the pills without knowing what it actually was for. at some point i think, mc finally knew what it was, probably had an argument and then got into an accident.

after that, i think ml took the chance and lied.
