At the end of the day

Hi. I'd highly recommend the novel if you haven't read. The story is more than 'mommy issues'...if anything, Ian has been more affected by the male figures in his life. The novel does an amazing job at laying out everything because there are so many themes at play (emotional dependence, abuse, power imbalance autonomy etc). It really is a complex beautiful story that can't be reduced to a single aspect.
