No, cause- Jeol-ho is just objectively better than Pil-gyun tbh. Because whilst Pil-gyun would go out of his ways to cause distress for Nanmu time and time again just to catch Nanmu's attention, Jeol-ho would rather watch and protects Nanmu from a distance, willingly becoming the stepping stone for Nanmu to use when needed just so that Nanmu could chase his happiness—even when that comes at the price of Jeol-ho's own heart being crushed into pieces. Still, in Jeol-ho's world, that itself is his own way of chasing his happiness. Because from the very start till now and beyond, Jeol-ho's happiness has always been just one single wish. And that it's: "to see Nanmu's smile"
The selfless love Jeol-ho has for Nanmu is so strong, it physically ached me whenever there's a scene with him confessing his unparalleled devotion for Nanmu in his inner monologs.
It's painful yet so beautiful that it feels borderline criminal for me to continue reading the story while knowing that, despite Jeol-ho's happiness coming true where Nanmu will smile with those sweet dimples brightening the entire room after achieving his happiness, Jeol-ho himself will not be in that room to see his Nanmu shine.
And yet, up until the end, even with all the things he has gone through...
Jeol-ho would still chooses to never utter a single word of complaint.
