misandrist babies are lowkey kinda funny though (like the ones who don’t like any men other than their dad if they have a dad), same with dogs and cats that are unexplained misandrists (like they don’t have any trauma in their past that makes them afraid of men, they have just always been that way for no reason). I have met a few misandrist babies in my time and as a woman who every baby I meet loves, it’s always funny watching men who babies normally love and are really good with babies suddenly not even be able to get close to the baby because the baby starts crying when they try and get close, because like why does a baby who has no reason to dislike men not like them unless it is a man who is one of their primary caretakers. My stepdad is really good with young kids and babies and most babies love him because of his gentle energy, but a few years ago one of my mum’s friends came over to our house with her 18 month old daughter (who has a dad that she loves and is fine with), and she was so comfortable and happy playing with my mum, my older sister, and myself, giggling and smiling and having a good time, but my poor stepdad couldn’t even come close enough for her to see him without her suddenly going quiet and having all the signs of being about to cry, and he was so devastated. Her mum later explained that she thinks she doesn’t like men who have beards or stubble because her dad always stays clean shaven and she has even shown a negative reaction when her dad grew out some stubble one time, and my stepdad always has short stubble because he looks much better like that than he does clean shaven or with an actual beard (my mum’s words not my own)
