Some are complaining that his feelings not being as intense as Jongwoo's doesn't mean he should hesistate to date him.
But if someone decided to date me even if they weren't confident they could be physically attracted to me, telling themselves 'it's ok, I love their personality' - I'd be kinda pissed. Most people want their partner to find them physically/sexually attractive as well as romantically/personality-wise. Changdeok not wanting to lead someone on if he's not sure he likes them enough to properly date isn't him being a party pooper to us readers - it's him being a well written character with morals.
(In the scene where changdeok thinks his feelings aren't as "intense", he starts contemplating about letting Jongwoo feed and how him being aroused is only a 'physiological response' - so I assume that the author means he's mostly worried about physical attraction rn.) Keep in mind this man has thought of himself as straight his whole life.
This is so much better than Straight Man suddenly turns gay - but also only for super special exception specific Romantic Interest - trope. just my 2 cents. When it comes to pacing I do get the complaints about the chapter length tho. I'm guessing it's bc alpacasuma is a 1 woman team.
