Mangago rating inflation

My standards for ratings will genuinely never recover from this site. In literally every other context an 8/10 is a great score so why is it that on here entering the 8.X/10 means that a story is absolute dogshit. I cant even expect a series to be good unless its 9.5 or above.

I feel like im missing out on hidden gems just because a rating is in the 8.X or below, but then i give one a chance and it ends up being straight cheeks. Sometimes i dont even feel inclined to give 9.0-9.3s a try, since they either end up being underrated or shit from the same 8.X ass
