This is actually such a great point, especially with the ongoing streak of impisonment+rape streak in the current popular BLs. Shutline even had a runaway arc and Jake only yearned, followed his man and then had a pretty sweet, consensual sex with him after they reunited. And more importantly, you can feel a lot of love just from the way those two look at each other and just casually touch. Those moments aren't always sexually charged like in many other manhwa and actually feel intimate here.
Despite their imperfections, Shingun and Jake are setting a standard that not a lot of manhwa couples can live up to, honestly
Notice how Jake never abused, imprisoned or hurt Shin in any way despite his violent and low key psycho background. That's exactly what sets this BL from the other ones. Top notch characters and plot! I will miss them so much :(
