1. Translation is definetly lacking, but that's fine. Thank you to all the translators who tried their hardest. I could not do it.
2. The Art becomes better and better, and that's really nice.
3. There is incredible design choices I really like (The mask for examples). The overall looks and design of the characters is good, ALTHOUGH a couple look too much like each other.
Now, on the real negative:
4. Pathing is awful and that's the main reason this story is bad. Sure, translation is not helping, but mostly, we never get to see a characters go through a full arc. It jumps back and forths between character arc and plot all the time. It's all mish-mashed. Even the flashback are badly timed.
This is such a shame because this story had so much potential.
Like, so many of those character could have had REAL introductions, with a small background or explanation (eg. The Actress/singer).
5. The story is too convoluted, and a lot of the events don't get the emotional impact they deserve. (eg. the Reveal that his AB child died... How did we not get a full meltdown, with a flashback of the birth or hospital?)
Anyway... so much potential. Maybe the novel is indeed much better.
