I can't believe I've been defending this story for sooo long. The character development of Maxi is phenomenal. Riftan tho? Yeah no. And don't even get me started on the people who say they're frustrated with Maxi. Y'all hate on a woman who is trying so hard to get over her traumas and is actively succeeding but defend the guy who hasn't learnt to control his temper even after seeing, time and time again just how much anguish it causes his wife. He's supposed to be her pillar of strength, not another barrier she needs to get past.
