First off, why did melody have the future sight power? Yes, she “died” and came back but in a world where magic exists, I feel like there is an argument to be had that her power is related to that? Especially given the fact that Jeremiah is suspicious and wants to experiment/study melody. I do have questions about melody’s parentage, while I don’t think melody needs to have noble heritage, I feel like it was too much of a coincidence that her mother was a pregnant maid from house christenson…the same place the brother of the king was living?? Granted she might have been lying, but the fact that this detail goes completely unnoticed is a bit sloppy imo. And like other people have said, I feel like melody’s relationship with her parents, Loretta with Jeremiah and Evan, what’s left for pieces—are they still politically “monsters”? Why IS melody able to help Loretta when so many others who cared deeply for pieces couldn’t (like Loretta’s mom??)
