I just read some spoilers from the naver blog

Calix did love Hernan from day 0, but he wasn’t aware of his own feelings until around the middle of the story, which is what led to his relationship with Luce.
The thing is, Calix was a pretty boy who had been lusted after by many older men when he was younger. He always admired Hernan and saw him as an older-brother figure. Then he found out about Hernan’s feelings for him. Calix got mad and thought Hernan was just like all the other men who lusted after him, so he felt betrayed. He treated Hernan horribly afterward and eventually fell in love with Luce.
How much Calix actually loved Luce was never explicitly explained, but we can infer that part of his feelings for Luce came from spite because Luce was Hernan’s best friend.
Later, in the 5th regression, Calix finally came to terms with his feelings. He realized that maybe he had taken Hernan for granted and became determined to do anything to “test” Hernan’s love for him.
And Hernan wasn’t completely innocent either, at least in the 1st life. He worked with Calix’s father to separate Calix and Luce. Then, to get revenge on Calix, he forced Luce into marriage. When Calix came to take Luce back, Hernan challenged him to a duel and deliberately let Calix kill him.
Basically, Hernan chose to die by the hands of the person he loved because he wanted to leave something behind in Calix.
Then the deer revived him into multiple regressions. Eventually, Hernan regretted what he had done and tried to fix everything by helping Calix and Luce get together. But every time, something went horribly wrong and Hernan ended up dying again.
In the 4th regression, Calix wanted to revive Hernan and asked a dark magician to do it. This somehow resulted in Calix regressing too, while carrying the memories of the previous timeline.
Calix thought *he* was the one who revived Hernan, but the deer was going to revive Hernan anyway. What Calix did with the dark magician basically resulted in him getting regressed into the 5th timeline as well.
So the whole plot is basically about Calix slowly realizing that his true feelings have always been for Hernan and trying to win him back.
Hernan has ALWAYS loved Calix, but after all those messed-up regressions, he became depressed and convinced himself that his love was the reason Calix and Luce were unhappy. So he keeps trying to arrange for Calix and Luce to be together.
So basically:
**Calix:** “I actually love YOU, Hernan.”
**Hernan:** “No, you’re just confused. You have to love Luce to be happy. We should just divorce .”
The entire plot is basically these two idiots trying to untangle this gigantic misunderstanding across multiple timelines.
Oh and in every previous timelines, Hernan was married to Luce, except in this 5th one, he was married to Calix so the last panel is Calix
