Considering his backgrounds:
1) Grow up with people buttering him, getting his way and kids following him / doing his bidding.
2) His mom constantly telling him to be proper etc for his father's sake since they're a public figure.
3) Minions following him bc of his family and money
4) Frustration of being constantly scolded by his mom and checking on him often. So...
He's treating Baekhee (mc) horribly and see him as a property/pet/servant because...
1) Has a superiority complex and believes it is just natural people "obey him".
2) He wants someone with who he doesn't need to keep appearances and be the douchebag he is. Ngl he seems like the rough sex type enjoyer and y'know wants to be the one "in control".
3) He believes MC is the only one that obeys him and is grateful to him (not bf of money and his fam) due to their past where he basically is the only hope and ally MC have. Unlike his minions, in worst case scenario, MC will pick his side and not that of his family or for their sake since they have other people to count on. MC has only him. = MC won't betray or leave him.
4) He wants to be the one in control. imo he also unconsciously imitating his mom behavior of controlling MC.
5) Lastly, and this is pure theory,... I wonder if he has seen infedelity in his house. Example he saw his dad/mom cheating etc. Idk seems like his parent married for commodity and strategy to win favors and for appearances.
Anyway reason why he constantly tell MC to not betray him and absolutely hate the idea of being cheated on.
About his obsessiveness:
Personality wise he could also be possessive and obsessive over MC bc the latter is the only thing he considering completely his and that has no else except for him. Idk mc's friend seem to have lots of minions but, none of them are friends or close acquaintance to him.
Plus in flashback he seems to believe MC's the only one who can understand him in his desperate desire of getting away from the town, from his parents etc.
And well, he does seem to love MC the same way some people love a dog mainly bc it only warms up to them or are completely submissive to them.
