My theory: it’s only going to get worse from here.

My theory is that it’s only going to get worse from here. I can imagine it going in several ways but it clearly will not be resolved in the next upcoming chapter. I’ll write down my theories in a bit- but I’ll mention what i’ve noticed about the author first and how that will tie into my theory for where the story will go

From the record of the author’s previous works: it seems they drag their stories with suspense in order to cover all basis of the psychological aspect of their manhwas

In an analytical view, seeing how the Yang Il Woo’s chapters are quite short and more often than not, left in dreading suspense — moving forward i believe it’s good to drop the story from here in order to let in marinate.

For those who do not enjoy hurtful suspense, this might be a good option to take. I myself am a huge empath, so anticipating around for the next chapters is very heartbreaking!

Anyhow, my suggestion aside — here’s my theory. And I’ll go unhinged here because i’m also going insane.

After being left alone for several days, Yang Il Woo’s perception of their relationship has grown more confusing and slightly under Baekhee’s mercy (left at “i’ll wait for you” and for him to never come home would do a number on anyone) YangIl-Woo would question what Jang Baekhee thinks of their relationship in hopes that would solidify the reality he’s living in.

My theory is that Jang Baekhee will indeed say “I care for you”. Enough where Yang il Woo would say “if you like me, run with me to Seoul”. Based off that Chapter around 29ish, his boldness of “I should’ve killed Go-Gyeom” gives me the impression he might say a confident statement like that as his solution for navigating the entire relationship would be through that method alone. Along with the chapter around 27, where he suggested it too.

While all this would happen (based off Gyeom’s persistent appearance whenevr the Main Couple gains a connection), Go-Gyeom would knock Yang Il-Woo out and possibly kidnap + entrap Baekhee (likely at Gyeom’s own home or an undisclosed location) as Gyeom’s also determined to pull through his own plan.

While Yang Il Woo’s knocked out, I’ll bet Go-Gyeom would separately call his goons to beat him up to a pulp (in his head - removing the problem) while Jang Baekhee’s stuck and trapped where Gyeom locked him in (keeping the plan)

My theory goes a bit wild after this but I’ll leave it at that for now.
My guess is that all this might happen only within 10 chapters. And STILL not have a resolve for the main couple :((

I’m attempting to think positively since the nuance of the suspense and wholesomeness has drastically changed ever since Chapter 27 too.
but those are my thoughts!! Writing really does help cope ╥﹏╥

Gurl, hell no. I cancel it on our behalf. Even if they get separated, I just need Baekhee to be away from that rapist mother fucker as far as humanly possible.

My problem with prolonged suffering and separation, dragging the plot and adding unnecessary misery is that it leads to rushed endings. Imagine so many chapters of suffering and tragedy and just when they're supposed to get their happy ending, the story suddenly ends. It's been happening a lot these days and it really pisses me off. I came for the romance, not some new trauma added to the ones I'm already struggling with.

If they spent the entire book suffering and only reunite at the end, what was even the point? I'm fucking stressed right now and I'm an author myself. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ
