Up until ch50. It's absolute pig shit. Horseshit. Dogs hit. Stinking shit. Disgusting shit. Whatever you'd like to pick.
We get into the story with our MC wanting to commit suicide and then getting raped the next chapter. That alone sets the upcoming scenes for our story.
Prior to Ch50, I got the sense that because of our ML's upbringing- there's a disconnect between morality, normality as well as sensibility. He misses out on most of it can we can see it by the questions ye asked he's dad. He seems like a person who lives on his own rules because he was spoiled and never had to worry about the consequences of his actions. In fact until Ch50 - he never had to introspect whether he was a decent member of society since he rule the world of lawlessness.
Now enters our MC, completely different to our ML and for the majority of the story they clash because of their inherit difference. I'm not gonna comment on the story itself or the decisions from the MC pov, but for me because of everything, Ch50 hits differently. I can see the ML is completely lost because maybe for the first in his life he realizes how much of a fuckup he is and even fixing this relationship is beyond help.
Like he had the privilege and power to do whatever he wants but he ultimately realizes thay when it comes to the matters of the heart - nothing matters. I actually felt a little bad for but I still have a strong dislike for him cause the shit th MC had to go through for his "redemptive" arc is bullshit. Anyways. It gets better.
