Questions:
I wonder these few things (i also didn’t read most chapters, just a few out of curiosity and dropped it cus of my weak stomach. i stomached the novel though).
1. Why and how did jiwook (mc) lost his memories? 2. Also, wtf. why did jiwook when afraid of the fact his sexuality may be exposed, thought it was okay to frame it as homophobia by (maybe) *gang*raping juhyeon even though they reciprocated feelings? (it was either rape or gang-rape). 3. I also wonder how valuable juhyoen’s mother was to him for his permanent damage on why his mother was in the hospital. 4. What was she even diagnosed with after that severe mental breakdown to be hospitalized for that long?
not really confirmed if i agree with why i may not like it:
I don’t really like the story bcus it’s kinda illogical in my head unless there is a plausible reason why his mother is incapacitated for such a long time since i heard this while searching a litle:
“(In some instances of nervous breakdown, a hospital stay may be necessary for stabilization and treatment. Reasons to hospitalize a patient include talk of suicide or death, violence toward others, self-harm, symptoms of psychosis such as hallucinations and delusions, or a complete inability to function at all. In all of these cases the mental health crisis is severe and could result in harm to the patient, or the patient may be considered harmful to others.“ .
Conversely, it may make sense, but, if the incident was in high-school, then, about a few years or a year has passed... “A nervous breakdown may also vary in severity, which can impact the duration of the episode. A less severe breakdown that leads to deterioration in function but not total loss of function may go on for some time before a person seeks help. A severe crisis, on the other hand, may be shorter in duration, while recovery and treatment take much longer.”
So, I would check cases if it took longer for recovery and treatment in certain countries since healthcare differentiates from country to country and the treatment can be careless based on the hospital the mother resides in. Literally many ways can make it plausible on why she is incapacitated for so long. However, (imho), it doesn’t provide a clear basis on why she’s staying in the hospital longer than someone in a vegetative state of coma or taking chemotherapy. (comas are usually 2-4 weeks or vegetative state = 4+ weeks, chemotherapy varies from 3-6 months or 2 years ). ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
