From the novel: He pressed his foot down harder on Hwang Seongyeon’s back, eliciting another choked cry.

At Hwang Seongyeon’s repeated screams, Chungwoo desperately clung to Gu Wonjae’s leg.

“Should I break his ankles instead?”
“No! No. Don’t. Please. Please, sir… Please…”
Chungwoo’s cheeks were flushed as he shook his head and sobbed. His mournful cries, carried by the biting wind, felt like they were slicing through Gu Wonjae’s ears. His rage gradually subsided.
Gu Wonjae slowly lifted his foot and stepped back.
“Then take it off.”
His gaze landed on the cheap padded jacket that had been bothering him.
“It’s disgusting.”
Chungwoo didn’t resist any further. He didn’t hesitate. He just choked back his sobs and quickly stood up. With trembling hands, he hurriedly took off his jacket, looking up expectantly, ready to obey the next command. Gu Wonjae took off his own coat.
Chungwoo’s body, clad only in a thin sweatshirt, trembled like a leaf. With smooth, practiced movements, Gu Wonjae draped his luxurious coat over Chungwoo’s shoulders. Chungwoo closed his eyes, inhaling the familiar, cool scent.
Ah yea.. That was that part!! What I remember the friend was just pinned down and not really hurt and Chungwoo was just afraid he will be beaten so he hesitantly followed..Been a while since I read this and
I feel like I been reading lots of black flags codename march.. etc haha
It’s been a while since I read the novel so correct me if I’m wrong but in this part cheongwoo is wearing his friends coat and prosecutor beats up his friend until cheongwoo takes it off. Anyway this still remains one of my fav manhwas bcs Im into stories like this (sue me) so yeah (=・ω・=)
