Alright here's my review no one asked for but I NEED to get this out.
I will always respect an authors decision of where their story goes. Hearing Roha's conflicting feelings and his turmoil was so insightful and the art style was beautiful, but I am genuinely distraught. I know you don't choose who you love (I kinda think thats the message of this story) but it's so difficult for me to in any way root for Roha and Garon because Garon has NO redeeming qualities.
I kept waiting for some sort of reason to like him, maybe he didn't kill Rohas mom or Roan was actually evil but nope. Garon is shit and Roan was a genuine good person. It's very compelling how Garon was chosen and I respect the story for that because it's not often someone straight up rotten is chosen while not really having a reason for it.
Usually in stories with a similar love triangle plot, it turns out the second lead was actually evil and the first lead gets some good development that makes you root for him but nope. It's like he said he was born without feelings and in his words God is to blame. I know it's also implied his mother SA'd him which is horrible, but I'm sorry, he killed Rohas mom, Roans mom, and countless others.
Bro when Roha was asking him if he remembered the faces of everyone he killed and he said "Do you remember every bug you've squashed?". I straight up almost dropped it. Also when Roha gave him the antidote, I started pacing around my room and crying like a fucking weirdo . He's just evil and thats that. It doesn't help at all that Roan was genuinely kind and wanted the best for Roha even if that meant letting him go, something Garon would NEVER do.
I just wish we were given some reasoning as to why Roha loved Garon, overall thats where this fell short for me. I had no reason to root for them and the sudden "I love him" made no sense to me. I read this so fast and couldn't stop so I'm not about to say it's bad, but I legit cried when I realized he truly was the endgame I was so heartbroken .
I guess I just have to be happy that it was Roan that named him and not Garon, maybe in another life they will be together cause of their soul tie. Good story but damn I am SAD. But I will say it's honestly been awhile since I cried to a manwha and this story had me in tears several times it really brought out every emotion in me but hey, I'm about to start my period.
