That might be worse, like pointing out that the author is a gay man and implying that's the reason why they wrote it like that, could mean you're emphasizing that because they're a man who's only involved with other men, they are unserious on how they view what being forcefully impregnated is like, and that they lack empathy for women who are the only ones who actually experience that irl.
