Yes I agree I like how in this story it’s like a trauma response to him or I guess in other stories it is too. But in this story they write the trauma really well. Like you really understand why he’s controlling and overprotective
cesare is def overprotective, but unlike the usual case of this in other stories i genuinely think it makes sense to the plot. Do NOT get me wrong, i need eileen more aware and want to see her grow beyond the scared lamb trope. However, I lowk understand him.
Like he saw her beheaded body with her limbs taken, heard ab the horrific things done to her corpse, and had to kill her several times to reverse time permanently for her to stay. I’d be fucked up too .
In similar stories the overprotectiveness feels unnecessary and mean. But regardless he does need to heal himself too, and help her grow stronger instead of whatever tf he’s doin.
