I mean I genuinely don't feel any compassion for Cesare. The trauma thing felt so forced to me that it made me think it was just something made up in the moment by the author to somehow make the reader feel sympathetic for him. The thing is that, for basically more than half of the story he psychologically abuses Vivi, harms her, tries to get his way with her he just lust after her, and out of nowhere we are supposed to believe that he has always cared about Vivi, and everything he did was somehow to prepare her for the hardships she would have faced. So now he's in love with her, but his excuse for his actions is because of his trauma he couldn't communicate and express his feelings properly so we should just forgive him for all the shit he did... Yeah right. Honestly he just looks pathetic. Him running around and screaming Vivi's name with that pathetic look on his face made me laugh so much, he genuinely looked so dumb lol. I would have kicked him in the nuts ngl. Anyways I don't feel any real chemistry between the two of them, tbh I wouldn't want her to stay with Cesare, he doesn't deserve her. But I know that he's the ml so there's no other way unfortunately.
