Mc has been standing up for himself since day 1.... it's just that he can't hold grudges. He forgives anyone easily the moment they show him any kindness. Ml will point that out to mc on ch18.
Anyways my spoiler is ch24(current latest raw). It's just that he is broke and he needs a job so despite everything he just endures till now. His plane ticket was ml's gift btw that's why he has one(otherwise he won't even be able to afford one)
Apparently mc could've gotten the actor role without being in sponsorship, aka whoring himself out. His dogshit colleagues who sold him knoww, the director knows. So now he feels betrayed left and right. Cliffhanger is he decides to cancel everything and return to korea permanently
