tbh i thought this was pretty good at depicting avoidant attachment, especially how lyle kept going back and forth making up things instead of talking it out with ash. i know irl it gets frustrating to help an avoidant, but as you keep reading it feels balanced since we see that ash has healthy boundaries. since the beginning he told lyle he was going to do what he wanted, and lyle set up that line only to cross it. i feel like this is an avoidant's dream, having a partner as patient as ash.
not really fond of the side stories/epilogue as much though. feels like a rough change of ash's character but then again i suppose he was always possessive, we just didn't see it as early on as the story took place. also frustrating with how lyle still kept things from ash..
