But to be honest ,from a narrative perspective by the end the story doesn't make a lot of sense .
How did Etienne who made them go though all of that and even finally ended up making Roger go through all of that end up cooking peacefully with them ,how is Roger casually cooking with the man who killed his mom?
It seems like since Crochetta was desperate to get the item she would have asked Etienne's mother but ended up strangling her instead of getting the item ,using it and finally freeing herself .
I love the story so much because it shows how traumatic it would truly be if someone possessed that power beyond control ,but I do wish they handled Etienne like the absolute threat he is ,rather than just peacefully have a picnic with him .
I will remember this story a lot ,it was fun and scary at times ,but overall enjoyable.
