What wouldve been a good twist is if we are supposed to think mc ends up with ml then this arc happens and odv the ml is crazy, So the mc ends up with a 2 ml. (I dont remember if there was one im not rereading) because this is just scary. Mc was literally stripped of everything he cared about. His freedom, his autonomy and his future. All he wanted was to pay off the debt and go to school. There is literally no amount of begging that the ml can do to justify his actions. Im gonna keep reading to see where this goes but the second the mc caves and forgives him im out .
