that type of mother is a danger to her kids. I would get it if she's financially dependent on the boyfriend. But she has her own job her own place. And this women is letting her bf TAKE HER SALARY AND GIVE HER AN "ALLOWANCE" AND AB*SE HER and HER KIDS. In a modern era too, no matter how patriarchal japan is, there's no way she cannot get a police officer to get him to leave her home. I can only feel bad for the kids.
And if you're like oh maybe she's afraid he might retaliate, girl he already ab*sing u and ur kids. He straight up abandoned ur 2 really young kids outside without a guardian, barely clothed in the middle of winter, they could've gotten lost, kidnapped, ran over etc...
