I’ve read the novel too, it still pisses me off that he wouldn’t head Tae’s reasoning.

Since Jae was the reason Tae left, Ilay starts to see Jae as a threat. He wants all of Taeui and knowing part of Tae loves Jae so much - it bothers Ilay
Well I think in another chapter it will be shown so what will happen is ilay will uhh do that to Taeui 3 rounds yeah and after that Ilay will say to taeui to say Taeui is ilay's or he won't free the mouth gag first Taeui nods in an unnoticeable way as he is tired but ilay sees it as hesetation and goes for another round finally Taeui being scared noddes and Ilay let's the gag off and Taeui says it after that he feels unconscious next day or whatever Taeui explains he wasn't gonna run away but well Ilay just raised an eyebrow well i am bad at explaining sorry
So does he feels bad and apologizes?
On the novels- also- Ilay feels Jae puts Tae in danger because people are always after him to design weapons and they can use Tae to get to him. He feels if he eliminates Jae then no more threat to Tae yet he knows If he hurts Jae that Tae would never forgive him.

Poor Tae if only Ilay would listen to him. He was trying so hard to get back to him.
