yeah that’s how you protest a system that you’re forced to participate in (like government mandated rules). when it’s something you’re voluntarily participating in (like supporting a business) you protest by boycotting and choosing not to participate in it. that’s why their form of protest doesn’t make sense given that they can leave at any time and take their labor with them if they don’t approve of what guwon is doing. if you entered someone else’s house and didn’t like their rules you wouldn’t stay there and force them to change them, you would leave and say you weren’t coming back unless they changed them.
