isn’t it mac’s character? mc’s character is from the streets if im not mistaken hence the stealing while mac’s is the one from the church. that’s why mc’s character is trying to ‘taint’ mac’s character by teaching him how to steal and whatnot. that’s how i understand it. might be wrong tho.
