Honestly, I'm loving the story as it is right now. It's building up and slowly unraveling the mystery behind the island and it's history while also giving the reader room to breath.
All the characters feel alive with actual personalities rather than just plot devices that are meant to help the story move forwards.
Also I'm loving the pop culture references in this. 'Its me, I'm the problem it's me' 'Where the hell is my husband, what's taking him so long' All of them just add to the MCs character rather than feeling out of left field or breaking the immersion.
