i might be crazy but i sympathise w varabus to some extent like living in hiding is nerve wracking and like ofc he should have been brave enough but internalised homophobia is so hard to deal w along w the pressure from his surroundings and i was kinda thinking he would use the future spouse potion and see the dragon cause he looked like Croe and maybe he was like a reincarnation of him just so he could have a happy ending idk i had a ff going in my mind
