And that's why I love stories like this, where the writer is able to make a good redemption arc and we are able to see the growth of characters and how they tackle the things they have built up. I really hope such is the case with this story as well.
ngl after reading this entire thing, it kinda made me upset that jiheon is a red flag but at the same time, I can't really fully hate him because he grew up with such a terrible mom. literally had to learn to do things all by himself and couldn't even rely on the butler if that's the right title, poor guy raised himself. wooju is just the first person that genuinely cares about jiheon and jiheon probably doesn't realize how toxic he is sadly, which is bad of course but there's clearly a reason for his actions. now it's not justified and I won't defend it because he seriously pisses me off but at the same time, I understand why he is the way he is. I know he genuinely cares about wooju and one of the recent chapters shows it. he's in the hospital, ran out as soon as he saw wooju in the place they both never forgot about and checked on him. even showed their childhood, they were so happy together. but I would have enjoyed this way more if it was consensual and not toxic. tho, it does represent child neglect and I can relate to it, I was toxic myself and just as bad as jiheon but also learned the hard way not to be a total asshole.
